The Vice President made the above statement during his reception for Vietnamese Ambassador to India, Nepal and Bhutan Nguyen Thanh Hai who attended the 3rd Nepal Investment Summit from April 28-29 at the invitation of Nepali Finance Minister Barsha Man Pun.

Ram Sahaya Yadav called on Vietnamese businesses to increase investment in his country in fields of hydropower, renewable energy, tourism, and agriculture.

Meanwhile, at the meeting between the Vietnamese Ambassador and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Narayan Kaji Shrestha, the Nepali side asserted that the Nepali Government welcomes Vietnamese enterprises to invest in the nation.

Narayan Kaji Shrestha expressed his hope that both nations would soon sign a Trade and Investment Framework Agreement (TIFA), adding that Nepal will work closely with Viet Nam to make preparation for the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties.

Nguyen, for his part, suggested both sides carry out measures to strengthen the bilateral ties, particularly in such areas like trade, tourism, and investment, and step up collaboration at international and regional forums./.
