Construction begins on strategic transport projects in Hung Yen
VGP – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the expansion of Ha Noi-Hung Yen inter-provincial road and the construction of the highway connecting Ha Noi–Hai Phong and Cau Gie–Ninh Binh expressways in the northern province of Hung Yen on December 23.

Present at the event included Minister of Transport Nguyen Van The, Minister of Construction Nguyen Thanh Nghi, and Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Tran Hong Ha.
The expansion project has total investment capital of VND2.9 trillion (or US$126.4 million). Once expanded, the 33.5 km Ha Noi-Hung Yen inter-provincial road will have four lanes for motor vehicle and two lanes for road rudimentary vehicle.
The 20 kilometer-highway connecting Ha Noi–Hai Phong and Cau Gie–Ninh Binh expressways passing through Hung Yen province will be invested with VND1.4 trillion (US$61 million).
The construction of two projects aims to complete essential transport infrastructure for the locality in particularly and for the region in general, serving for the people’s demands for travel and goods transportation and making contribution to the local socio-economic development.
